According to the latest issue of Mountain Bike magazine, Commerford is obsessed with biking and spends much of his tour time riding on trails and even enjoys jumping his bike off of concert stages.
He even visits fans in line for his shows and asks for volunteers he can bunny-hop.
Commerford first discovered biking from his father-in-law in 1993 and quickly became hooked.
Although he has suffered a few injuries while riding and has his skull screwed together as a result Commerford gets no rage from his machine.
In fact, he often gets his rhythmic ideas by listening to the way his wheels hit the ground at various angles and sings them in a tape recorder after each ride.
