Kaley Cuoco: ‘Magic Hurts’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Being a TV witch is harder than it looks.

That’s the painful truth that actress Kaley Cuoco has learned while being the newest cast member of Charmed.

The former 8 Simple Rules star admits she had no idea what she was getting herself into when she signed up for the role and adds, “I’ve got bruises all over to show for it.”

Part of the reason for Cuoco’s pains is because her character is doing a lot of the heavy Wiccan lifting since series stars Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan have been stripped of their powers.

As a result, Cuoco has been asked to do “everything imaginable,” including flying, backflips, sword-fighting and throwing fire. And, she says, “I’ve been getting nunchucks training. Stuff they don’t ask you to do on a sitcom.”

Not that Cuoco is complaining. She says dealing with the death of John Ritter on the second season of 8 Simple Rules taught her to roll with every challenge.

Charmed has its season premiere on Sunday (Sep. 25) on the WB.
