‘King Of Queens’ Deacon Enjoys The Job Promotion

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actor Victor Williams has played Kevin James’ best friend on The King Of Queens for eight seasons but only now does he feel like he’s getting a job promotion.

Williams – who plays delivery driver Deacon Palmer – says he doesn’t feel like CBS gave the sitcom enough promotion in the past and the show just managed to attract enough fans to stay on air, but off the radar.

Now things are different. This year, CBS is relying on The King to rule Monday nights now that Everybody Loves Raymond has ceased production.

Williams isn’t worried. He has discovered a whole group of fans thanks to syndication and surprisingly, American Airlines. As he puts it, “I always get people who tell me they first saw the show while on a plane.”

But the fans that Williams really likes are drivers for FedEx and UPS because “we get a lot of love.”

The King Of Queens season premieres Monday (Sep. 19).
