Dead Bodies Give ‘Bones’ Star The Creeps

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Emily Deschanel makes no bones about it: She’s never been in the presence of a dead body and has no wish to do it now.

The star of the new Fox series, Bones, plays a forensic anthropologist and admits she’s considered tailing someone who does her job in real life.

But she isn’t dying to do it anytime soon but admits that “if the body is fully skeletonized, I wouldn’t have a problem as much as if it were, you know, still decomposing.”

Although some actors try to absorb as much as possible about her characters, Deschanel takes her cue from a quote Lawrence Olivier made to Dustin Hoffman after he went to self-destructive lengths to make a scene more authentic: “Why not try acting? It’s much easier.”

Bones, which also stars David Borneaz, debuts on Tuesday (Nov. 13).
