‘Nip/Tuck’ Stars Have A Bloody Good Time On Set

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The stars of the FX drama Nip/Tuck have a bloody good time on the set, but it wasn’t always that way.

Actor Dylan Walsh – who plays plastic surgeon Sean McNamara – admits when he and co-star Julian McMahon first started out, they were so inexperienced that the producers used “stunt hands” for surgical scenes.

In addition, the massive amounts of blood made Walsh and McMahon squeamish at times.

Not any more. Walsh says he and McMahon are now so jaded by all the gore that it’s actually “fun.” As he puts it, “We’ve done such outrageous surgeries – pretend ones – that I’ve seen real surgeries and it’s not a big deal.”

Walsh also is willing to put up with a little blood in exchange for being in a hit series. In his words, “I’ve been in so many situations where you hope it’s going to be successful and it doesn’t happen. So this is like a gift.”

The season two collection of Nip/Tuck hits DVD on Aug. 30.
