Movie Casting Call Sent Out For Michael Phelps-Types

WILMINGTON, N.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Casting directors for The Guardian are letting their guard down to look for Michael Phelps-types – male and female.

Mark and Lisa Mae Fincannon are searching for competitive swimmers for the movie, which documents the lives of US Coast Guard rescue swimmers and stars Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher.

The Fincannons are looking for male and females in their early to mid 20s – or at least look like they are – of any ethnicity for the speaking roles.

The candidates must feel “comfortable in challenging ocean conditions” and be able to handle “crisis situations” in the water.

Auditions will be taking place Monday through Friday (Aug. 15- 19) in U.S. Southeastern cities such as Atlanta and New Orleans with shooting for the movie scheduled to start in November.

Interested folks can contact the Fincannons at for more information.
