Thats according to Akinnagbe himself who says he used to shave his head bald, but hasnt cut his hair or visited a barbershop in two years now.
When he used to get his locks trimmed, he says the urban inner-city barbershops he visited are just like the one portrayed on the upcoming TV show.
Still, Akinnagbe had to brush up his barber etiquette before going on set and says he and his castmates visited a barbershop for some training, so, as he puts it, we dont cut each other with the sharp instruments.
Barbershop premieres Sunday (Aug. 14).
