Actress Becomes Professional Girlfriend On TV

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A lot of women would like to be the girlfriend of Jerry Seinfeld, Henry Winkler or Kelsey Grammer but only one L.A. actress has actually managed the feat.

On TV, that is.

Cindy Ambuehl has played Jerry’s girlfriend on Seinfeld; Frasier’s gal on that sitcom and she will be Winkler’s main squeeze on his upcoming CBS series, Out Of Practice.

Ambuehl – who is married in real life – figures she gets cast to play so many girlfriends because it’s a popular sitcom plot to “have a new girl that creates trouble for the regular girl.”

It might all be make-believe but Ambuehl has learned from the experiences of her onscreen characters. As she puts it, “The guys who play my boyfriends usually get caught up in lies so I’ve learned honesty is the best policy.”

Ambuehl’s series, Out Of Practice, won’t premiere until September but she’s keeping busy over the summer. She’s just designed a new clothing line that she says brings fashion-forward clothing to girlfriends of all shapes, sizes and incomes and will debut it live on QVC on June 23.
