The group recorded the 1970 No. 2 hit Vehicle, which Bice has sung a few times on the show.
Ides Of March keyboardist Scott May says Bices performance has not only introduced a new generation to the song but has increased the bands profile to its highest level since the group reunited in 1990.
He says thats good because many music fans mistakenly credit the tune to Chicago or Blood, Sweat And Tears.
May has been in contact with Bice and hopes the group will be invited to record a new version of Vehicle for the singers debut album.
In the meantime, both Bice and the Ides Of March have plenty on their plates. Bice will soon be performing on the American Idol concert tour and the Ides will be singing The Star-Spangled Banner at a Chicago White Sox game on Wednesday (June 1).
