Atlanta Mr. Mom Rocks Hard – And Not In A Chair

ATLANTA (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A house-bound father in Atlanta is desperate – desperate to rock.

When John Boydston isn’t picking up his kids from school, he picks up a guitar to perform songs about being a dad under the name, “Daddy A Go Go.”

Boydston does children’s music but he prefers to think of his “pop songs” as “tunes that let kids know that Daddy hasn’t forgotten what it’s like being young.”

Some of his pop tunes include, “Out In The Garage,” which is about a kid who discovers his dad’s old records; the self-explanatory “I Caught My Daddy Watching Cartoons,” and a ditty called “Sports Song,” which includes the line, My dad’s the coach/ And sometimes we win.

The 46-year-old Boydston started his music career six years ago when his three-year-old son told him he liked the Beatles more than Barney.

Although he prefers songs that entertain more than educate, Boydston does sneak in a lesson now and then, such as his new song, “Eat Every Bean And Pea On Your Plate.”
