Womens health author Gabrielle Lichterman has written the new book 28 Days (Polka Dot Press) for women to chart their hormone horoscope.
Lichterman says the concept peaked her interest when she heard of a study that showed women are attracted to gruff manly men when their estrogen levels are high and more feminine men when estrogen levels are low.
Upon further research, she found hundreds of similar studies and decided to put the results into a horoscope.
Now, women can predict that six days after their period when estrogen and testosterone levels are high is the best time to ask for a raise at work.
Meanwhile, four days before their period, women can expect to be tired and sluggish and noises are likely to keep them up at night.
Lichterman says the guide can also come in handy for boyfriends and husbands who can look up which type of foods their sweethearts are craving that day and make dinner plans accordingly.
