Beer Pong Tables Becoming A Fixture At Bars

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Dart boards, shuffle boards and pool tables are entertainment staples at bars, but now a new barroom game is bubbling up: Beer pong tables.

For years, beer pong tables have been sold to suds drinkers in frat houses and college dorm rooms, but only recently has there been a push to get them into drinking establishments.

One retailer, – which sells everything from beer bongs to stripper poles – is trying to hop-aboard the trend and will begin selling custom designed beer pong tables, specifically targeting pubs around the nation.

Drinkingstuff spokesman Michael Lapeter says they’re only reacting to the “big demand” they’ve been getting lately from bar goers to get the tables into their favorite watering holes.

He figures the growing popularity of the college-aged game and the increasingly unpopular idea that “drinking games are just for college kids” are primary reasons for the current plea.

Although it’s unlikely the beer-soaked tables will ever be as prominent in bars as pool tables or dart boards, Lapeter believes “plenty” of bars will have them in the future especially college-area ones.
