Bald Man Shining Light On Calling Cards For U.S. Troops

CLAYTON, N.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A bald man from Clayton, North Carolina, is banking on his lack of follicles so U.S. soldiers can phone home.

Air Force reservist Robert Poole has created a T-shirt for bald-headed guys that features a bald head with three hairs sticking up and the acronym B.A.L.D. underneath – which stands for Bold All-American Lovable Dude.

The shirts are being sold at and proceeds from the $15 shirts will go to calling cards that will be handed out to troops at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C., a rehabilitation center for those wounded while on duty.

Poole – who also served one year in the Middle East – knows how phone bills can really rack up for injured soldiers and figures “it would be great to walk in the hospital with thousands of dollars worth of calling cards.”

If all goes well, Poole says he will start sending calling cards to servicemen and women overseas as well.
