‘Saturday Night Live’ For Kids Celebrates 10 Years

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The kiddie equivalent of Saturday Night Live is celebrating its 10th anniversary on the air.

Since its debut, the Nickelodeon sketch comedy show All That has become a spawning ground for young comedic actors, including Amanda Bynes and current Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson.

And that’s exactly what co-creator Brian Robbins – himself a comedic actor from the sitcom Head of the Class – had in mind when he and his partner came up with the concept for the show.

He’s particularly proud of Fat Albert star Thompson, who, “did this unbelievable Bill Cosby [impression] at age 13 that he’s doing on Saturday Night Live now.”

But while Saturday Night Live has been plagued by drug problems, deaths and nervous breakdowns, Robbins says life for the All That thespians has been relatively calm because, “Our biggest scandals were kids who got crushes on each other or hurt each others’ feelings.”

Nickelodeon will air an All That 10th anniversary special Saturday (Apr. 23), which will reunite old cast members and revive classic skits.
