Glenn Danzig Rocks Into Film

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Hard rocker Glenn Danzig is becoming a showbiz triple threat, thanks to his music, his comic books and, soon, his film career.

Danzig is planning to step behind the camera to film Gerouge, a movie based on a series of comic books published by his Verotik publishing company.

The film will be set in New Orleans and Danzig promises lots of “gruesome” scenes involving zombies and snake rituals.

Danzig says he intended Gerouge to be a film from the git-go but created it as a comic first “to get people to understand it without having to hire a storyboard artist to draw it out.”

Putting a book or a film together might sound difficult but Danzig figures they’re easy compared to songwriting because, he points out, “songs need music.”

Danzig and his band start a nationwide tour in St. Louis on Feb. 18 behind his latest CD, Circle Of Snakes. In the meantime, his next recording, a classical album called Black Aria II, will be released this summer.
