MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A man in Middletown, New York, sure knows his baseball after visiting more than 290 ballparks.

Since 1988, Brian Merzbach has been trekking to major and minor league ballparks across America.

He’s there for two reasons: To take in a game and write reviews about the stadiums for his website, ballparkreviews.com.

While ranking the parks, the baseball nut takes everything into consideration, from the overall atmosphere down to the concessions.

For the record, one of the best ballpark hot dogs he’s ever had was a Chicago-style one at U.S. Cellular Field.

Many may not know about the winning weiners because, in his opinion, the Chicago ballpark is highly underrated.

Merzbach’s top picks – besides classics like Fenway and Wrigley Field, which can do no wrong – are places with amazing skylines such as PNC Field in Pittsburgh.

Yankee Stadium has the loudest fans, but Philadelphia game- goers are pretty passionate about heckling and booing their players.
