So says Susan Bain of cheap-chic-weddings.com, THE place for thrifty tips on hosting a wedding on a tight budget.
Bain says the trend nowadays is to save money so for every bargain they score, brides brag.
Since its passe to be flashy, bridezillas over-the-top, demanding brides are becoming extinct.
Instead, many women are dropping $500 to $5,000 on weddings and getting very resourceful.
Bain knows of a bride who did her entire wedding using things from the dollar store. Brides can also bake their own cakes for about $130 and make their own unique dress.
The website launches their annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest this Monday (Apr. 5) for gowns made only from TP, glue, and tape.
For about $20, a well-made toilet paper dress can double as Kleenex during the emotional wedding ceremony.
