Reading In Bed Gets A Hand

BARCELONA, Spain (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Bedtime readers never have to suffer from chilly arms again.

The Snuggie may be the biggest name in sleeved blankets but it has design faults, especially when it comes to reading in bed.

The big, billowy sleeves get in the way so readers have to push them up, leaving them with a case of very cold arms.

Spanish designer Andrea Ayala Closa has created her own version of the Snuggie called the “Keep My Arms Warm When I Read In Bed” blanket, which has tighter fitting sleeves that turn into gloves.

She takes it one step further by leaving just the thumb and index finger open to the elements so readers can turn the pages of their book without getting cold.

Ayala Closa says the idea for the upgrade came because “it’s really, really annoying to have cold arms when reading in bed.”
