Preggos Crave Peculiar Popsicles

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A quirky popsicle shop in Nashville, Tennessee, is every pregnant woman’s dream come true.

Las Paletas is a gourmet popsicle store that specializes in “paletas,” fruity and creamy ice pops originally from Mexico.

Owner Irma Paz, who grew up eating the tasty treats, says her shop offers more than 100 types of paletas in unusual flavors such as avocado, sweet potato, rose petal, chocolate with wasabi, and cucumber with peppers.

The pops are a huge hit with pregnant women who often crave strange combinations anyway.

Paz says preggos love paletas so much, they’ve even stopped by for an icy fix on their way to the hospital to deliver.

Kids are suckers for them too, not even realizing they’re eating something healthy.

Paz says the pops are made from fresh ingredients including nuts, grains, and whatever fruits or vegetables are in season.

Customers often call ahead to order batches of their corn paletas, which taste just like juicy kernels.
