Lifelong poet CAConrad wants to build a Poetry Hotel in Philadelphia where writers can live and pursue their passion.
Since poets are generally broke, the hotel would offer rooms for only $200 a month and feature amenities like a library, cafeteria, and poetry-themed laundromat with an Emily Dickinson spin cycle.
CAConrad plans on holding communal readings at the hotel for tenants, including poetry recitals in bathtubs.
He says practicing poetry in a bathtub is very relaxing and often reads and writes in the tub, finding himself even more creative if he tosses Jasmine flowers into the water.
CAConrad believes the hotel for low-income poets would help the arts flourish in Philly again and give rhymers a chance.
The poet whos openly gay is also working on a campaign called Gays Against Gays In The Military, where he strongly opposes letting gays fight wars.
