Don’t Bring Spouse To Christmas Party

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Bringing your spouse to the holiday office party can be hazardous to your career.

Etiquette expert Barbara Pachter says many people don’t realize they can be held accountable for their spouse’s wild antics at the office holiday bash.

Pachter once had a client whose husband got so drunk at the company holiday party he told off his wife’s boss.

Two weeks later, she was fired for her hubby’s outburst, and the couple divorced soon after.

With the wine flowing, Pachter says people tend to forget they’re still in a professional setting at a holiday work party.

In reality, the shindigs are a great opportunity to mingle, get to know co-workers, and impress the boss.

Pachter says employees “should have fun but not be the fun,” so dancing with the boss’ wife is never a good idea.
