Community Colleges Don’t Hate ‘Community’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Although the TV comedy Community pokes fun at junior colleges, student aren’t hatin’.

Series star Joel McHale says community colleges were worried about their show at first, thinking, “These bastards are gonna make fun of us.”

However, schools have since seen the light and realize the show makes fun of the characters more than the act of going to community college.

He’s gotten a lot of props on the streets from community college students who admit the show is pretty true to life.

Many of them confess they’ve had insane teachers and crazy classmates just like Community depicts.

McHale even talked to a student who told him that his teacher actually took a cell phone call right in the middle of class – exactly what happens in one of the episodes.

He says, “The teacher left 200 students hanging in the classroom for like 10 minutes.”

Community airs Thursdays on NBC.
