The World Championship Duck Calling Contest is tomorrow (Nov. 28) in Stuttgart, Arkansas, where quackers will attempt duck calls to show off their best Daffy impersonation.
Though the winner works hard and is revered by their family and attendees, they dont get the royal treatment like the lady crowned Queen Mallard in the corresponding beauty pageant.
Spokesperson Stephen Bell says, Locals say theyd rather have their daughter be Queen Mallard than their son be the world champion. They get a lot of bragging rights.
He assures that its just as competitive vying for the crown as it is training for the duck calling contest because it takes beauty and personality.
However, there are no catfights or sabotaging involved in the pageant. The duck calling contest does bring on smack talk between participants though.
