Don’t Dog Your Dog

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Ask not what your dog can do for you, but what you can do for your dog.

That’s how former Seinfeld actor John O’Hurley feels.

The avid dog-lover is hosting NBC’s National Dog Show Presented By Purina for the eighth time this Thanksgiving (Nov. 26) and has learned a lot about pooches over the years.

He claims to have “absolute expertise” on breeds now, since at first he was “just counting legs.”

O’Hurley says the most important tip is to get a dog that fits your lifestyle.

That means having enough time, energy, and space for the dog of your choosing.

He adds, “Nothing distresses me more than seeing a Great Dane walking out of a small New York City apartment. It’s not fair.”

O’Hurley also notes that dogs – no matter how fancy or cute – are “not accessories or toys.”

Finally, the crappiest lesson he’s learned about pooches: Great Danes take huge dumps.
