Dad And Daughter Pen ‘Twilight’ Spoof

AMHERST, Mass. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The Twilight saga would be very different if Bella weren’t so gaga over vampires.

That’s the idea behind DieLite, a short, graphic story spoofing Twilight, written by a dad and daughter.

Stefan Petrucha and 14-year-old Maia Kinney-Petrucha read the original – and angsty – Twilight books and decided to poke a little fun.

Dad explains, “Anything that’s taken too seriously deserves to be taken down a notch.”

In their version, persistent vampire “Dedward Collins,” pursues a mortal teenage girl who, frankly, is just not that into him.

In fact, she’s so creeped out by his incessant stalking, she plots to ditch him.

Maia thought the Twilight storyline needed more bite since Bella is so lovelorn all the time.

She figures Bella could’ve avoided many of her sucky vampire woes had she stayed away from vamps in the first place.

DieLite appears in Diary Of A Stinky Dead Kid (Papercutz), out today (Nov. 10).
