This weekend (Aug. 28-30), the Eat Real Festival in Oakland, California, will teach locals that fast food can be delicious and nutritious by bringing together organic vendors to sell their treats.
The only catch is that the food sold has to be fast, cheap, and on wheels, according to spokesperson Anna Ghosh.
Vendors must make quick meals from carts, trucks, bikes, baby strollers, or any other form of wheeled transportation and sell it for less than five bucks.
Its all in effort to show people that eating well doesnt have to take a lot of time, money, or a kitchen.
Ghosh says, We say we want to put the food back in fast.
Along with taco trucks and hot dog carts, there will also be a creme brulee cart and even a sexy soup cart serving hungry attendees.
