For the past couple of years Morales has co-hosted NBC’s Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks Spectacular in New York on Independence Day and when the fireworks start flying, her tears start falling.
She admits the patriotic tone of the evening along with the accompanying music gets her all “choked up” thinking about how great America is.
Growing up, Morales was an Air Force brat who lived all over the world in places like Panama, Brazil, and Spain, so she’s come to truly appreciate the U.S. and all its freedoms and opportunities.
Though Morales is sure the waterworks will flow again for her this Saturday (Jul. 4), she won’t be alone.
She says her co-host Tiki Barber, is also known to have a teary “twinkle in his eye” during the fireworks.
