Robots Invade Pittsburgh For Good

PITTSBURGH (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Famous robots are heading to Pittsburgh, and making themselves right at home.

The Carnegie Science Center will unveil its latest permanent feature, roboworld, this Saturday (Jun. 13), which will showcase the latest in robotic technology, the importance of robots in everyday life, and the men and women pushing tech boundaries in the field.

Along with this, the science center will have a Robot Hall of Fame to honor the famous androids and humanoids that have made an impact on the world.

So far, inductees include the Roomba robot vacuum cleaner, Star Wars’ C-3PO and R2-D2, Gort from The Day The Earth Stood Still, and the Honda ASIMO humanoid robot made famous on the Internet.

Visitors will also be able to interact with the robots in various exhibitions, and even shoot hoops and play foosball against them.

Since they’re all man-made machines, the robots aren’t sore losers.
