Kansas Town Home To Gates Of Hell

LAWRENCE, Kan. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A rural town in Kansas may be the portal to the fiery pits of Hell.

According to local legend, the gateway to hell lies beneath an old cemetery and the ruins of an abandoned church in Stull, Kansas.

It’s been part of the town’s folklore for generations that Satan visits the freaky site every year on Spring Equinox or Halloween – depending on which version you believe – to wreak havoc.

Strange, creepy happenings have been reported in the area, including weird time shifts, memory loss, phantom sounds of children playing, haunting voices, and banging noises.

Debbie White, manager of the Lawrence Visitor’s Bureau, says thrill seekers and goth kids often sneak onto the property to look for the portal.

For this reason, the area is now locked and gated to “keep people that shouldn’t be there” away.

Though she can’t say if the protection is there to keep people from opening the gates of hell, she does assure that any trespassers will be arrested.
