Krall plays a lovable yet moronic intern-turned-radio host on VH1s improv comedy series, Free Radio, which airs its season finale tonight (May 21), and admits hes always wanted to have his own radio show.
As a kid, Krall would record fake radio broadcasts on his boombox from his room, resulting in piles of really bad cassette tapes.
He recounts, I was always acting crazy on the tapes. Id often be, Reporting live. From a castle where ninjas had just been spotted.
Though Kralls character exemplifies what it means to be rambunctious radio personality, he has his own spin on things.
He no longer uses a soundboard to produce silly sounds in the middle of a broadcast, mostly because the controls got taken away by producers after Krall repeatedly abused them.
He adds, I make enough noises myself to go around.
