Money CAN Buy You Love

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Whoever said money can’t buy love was wrong.

So says Elizabeth Ford, co-author of Smart Girls Marry Money (Running Press), a controversial new book about why women should marry for money instead of just love.

According to Ford, women looking for a longterm relationship should put a man’s economic status at the top of their list because, as she puts it, “You don’t want to marry a slacker.”

She believes a man’s bank account says much more about his character than his “beautiful blue eyes,” so women shouldn’t get so smitten by love that they forget to factor in financial security.

Ford says the reality is that society isn’t equal – since career girls still make three times less money than their male counterparts – so if the workplace won’t provide gals with security, a man needs to.

She calls gold digging a “form of survival” and argues, “If men can value beauty in a woman, then why can’t women value money in a man?”

Marry Money hits shelves today (May 4).
