Actor Learns That Long Hair Hurts

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actor David James Elliott recently learned that long locks don’t come easy.

Elliott – best known for his 10-year stint on JAG – plays a freedom fighter on a dangerous journey in the new Sci-Fi Channel movie, Knights Of Bloodsteel, premiering Sunday (Apr. 19) and Monday (Apr. 20).

To get into character of a brave knight from another era, Elliott had to spend seven hours in the makeup chair getting hair extensions, which were an absolute nightmare.

Elliott says the extensions were uncomfortable, itchy, and made him feel like he had “nasty raisins” pressed into his head.

He says it was the worst hairdo he’s ever had in a movie, and he was stuck with it for two months while filming in Canada.

He recalls, “I had to walk out in public with really bad hair and a beard. I took it out the last day of the shoot at 4 AM; I couldn’t take it anymore!”

Besides the ’do, Elliott was also required to wear “lots of leather,” for the flick.
