Masi Oka Rethinks Superhero Lifestyle

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Heroes star Masi Oka isn’t sure being a superhero is all it’s cracked up to be.

Oka, who plays time traveling Hiro Nakamura on the series, thinks that it would be “so much fun” to be a superhero in real life, because, as he puts it, “I’d use my powers all the time for pranks and helping people.”

However, since starring on the show and seeing what superheroes really go through first-hand, Oka admits that the crime-fighting, cape-crusading life may not be for him.

He says, “When reality sets in and people start shooting at you, then being a hero is not so fun anymore.”

Like his TV alter ego, who lost his super powers, Oka admits he’d be “bummed” if his superhero abilities conked out, especially since one of his dream powers would be to have a “super metabolism” to enable him to eat more during the holidays.

Season 3 of Heroes premieres Monday (Feb. 2) on NBC.
