The Joke’s On Jesus

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Jesus and Christianity are the funny fodder for one website’s line of novelty gifts.

MissPoppy.com sells fine alternative Christian products for the “saved and unsaved,” including magnets, playing cards, and lunch boxes splattered with Jesus themes.

Among the wacky items are a set of Nativity rubber duckies, a holy water drinking bottle, a Last Supper lunch box, and an ashtray that reads, “Jesus Loves My Ash.”

Company creator Miss Poppy is fascinated with Christian products and designs some of the magnets, mugs, and mousepads herself.

She says a popular item with customers is a magnet of a little girl peacefully praying to God with a thought bubble above her head that asks, “So where’s my f■■■ing pony?”

Although the products poke fun at the Messiah, Miss Poppy says religious folks like pastors and ministers sometimes shop on the site.

She’s glad they’re able to see the humor, however, in the past, she has had evangelicals plead the blood of Christ and demand she shut her store down.
