‘Cousin Oliver’ Stumps His Way Through Horror Movies

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The actor who played Cousin Oliver on The Brady Bunch is finding his showbiz career is scarier than ever.

Robbie Rist – who starred on the venerable show’s last season – is now branching out into horror movies with Stump The Band, a slasher flick about three guys who follow a band of female musicians in order to cut off their feet.

Rist describes the film as “creepy-funny more than spooky-scary” and says the most frightening part about making it was “finding the money.”

He says, “People think it looks like it was made for $500,000, but it was made for much less than that.”

Although Stump The Band doesn’t feature cameos from Rist’s fellow Brady Bunch co-stars, Danny Cooksey from Diff’rent Strokes plays a bad guy and contributed to the soundtrack.

The movie has received rave reviews at various film fests and is now available on stumptheband.com.

If the film is a hit, Rist is hoping to start on one of the four sequels he’s already written.
