Male Nanny Scores With Kids And Moms

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Move over, Supernanny, there’s a new kiddie wrangler on prime time and he’s a man, baby!

His name is Mike Ruggles and he’s the star of the new ABC special, Super-Manny, which shows child-rearing techniques from a man’s point of view.

Ruggles has been working with kids for over a decade and though he gets a lot of flack for working in the female-dominated profession, he says there are advantages to being a male nanny.

The No. 1 perk is getting women’s respect.

He explains, “Kids instantly gravitate toward me because they think I’m a giant jungle gym, and mothers love me because my techniques work. These moms would talk to a leopard if it had tips on how to handle their children.”

While moms are grateful for his help with their wild tots, no hot mamas have ditched their kid-clueless husbands to be with the Manny just yet.

He laughs, “They get attached to me, but not THAT attached!”

Super-Manny premieres tonight (Nov. 14) on ABC.
