Turn Your Dog Into A Top Model

LITTLE SILVER, N.J. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A few simple tricks can help your pooch strike a pose like a true top dog model.

In her book PhoDOGraphy: How to Get Great Pictures of Your Dog (Amphoto Books), professional dog photog Kim Levin, who’s shot power pups like Lassie, gives pet owners her secrets to capturing the cutest canine pictures.

She says starting off a Fido photo shoot by coaxing a pup with treats usually produces a “soulful” look in the dog, but after a while the dog will just get antsy and slobber for the food.

Harrison’s best kept secret for the perfect pet picture is a harmonica.

She says, “Dogs tend to tilt their head when they hear a high-pitched sound. Those photos always look so cute.””

Also, baby talk gets good reaction shots, especially when you say things like “treat” or “Let’s go on a trip” to excite your dog.

Harrison says these tips can help lead a photogenic dog to a career in dog modeling, but only if they’re also very well- trained.

PhoDOGraphy hits shelves tomorrow (Oct. 28)
