‘Ghost Hunters’ Love Rank Pranks

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The Ghost Hunters team really knows how to have a blast – and it can cause a major stink.

So says Steve Gonsalves, a member of The Atlantic Paranormal Society, or TAPS, featured on the Sci-Fi Channel show which premieres its fifth season tomorrow (Sep. 3).

Gonsalves says the TAPS team often play practical jokes on each other, and it can get really nasty.

He says, “[Lead investigators] Jason [Hawes] and Grant [Wilson] sprayed fart spray in the TAPS van once, and it was really horrible. They kept doing it for a few days until we found them out.”

The paranormal pranksters don’t just rely on artificial farts though.

Gonsalves says that he often plays recordings of Wilson’s farts instead of captured ghost recordings at meetings to get a laugh, but it’s nothing the team isn’t used to.

He jokes, “Grant doesn’t hide the fact that he passes a lot of gas. It happens so often that it’s easy to record. We’ve even caught a fart with the thermal camera!”
