‘High School Musical’ Actor Becomes A Man

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One High School Musical actor is graduating into adulthood and finally becoming a man.

Chris Warren Jr. – who plays Zac Efron’s basketball buddy Zeke Baylor in the teen Disney franchise – stars in Depth Charge, an action film about a nuclear powered submarine.

Warren did many of his own stunts and even shed blood for the intense flick.

In one scene, he had to jump onto a crate and “ripped” his hand open right on the spot.

He says, “It was bleeding everywhere and it hurt a lot, but I tried to be a man about it. I just kept on working!”

By manning up on the set, Warren Jr. believes he “got some respect” from his co-stars, action vets Eric Roberts and Jason Gedrick.

Despite the injury, he wants to keep making action movies, while still balancing comedy and maybe even a few musical roles.

Depth Charge premieres Monday (Sep. 1) on Spike TV.
