‘Wing King’ Hopes Dessert-Style Buffalo Wings Take Flight

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Sugar and spice and everything nice are the ingredients for a unique new buffalo wing sauce.

Self-proclaimed “Wing King” Drew Cerza says some people clucked at his idea of combining chocolate and hot sauce together to make a new wing sauce, but claims the combo “works wonders” on the palate.

He explains, “It’s all about the texture and combination of flavors. The red hot sauce mixed with chocolate is a wonderful taste.”

His latest sauce was inspired by a visit to a fondue restaurant where he was tempted to dip his wings into the stream of chocolate.

Cerza says the owner of the fondue restaurant didn’t mind him trying out the sweet and spicy combo at the table, and is glad he did.

He hopes to meet other innovative buffalo wing fans this Labor Day Weekend (Aug. 30-31) at the 7th Annual Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival in – where else? – Buffalo, New York.
