Film Critic Leonard Maltin Does Bad Movie Detox

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Bad movies are hazardous enough to send movie critic Leonard Maltin to rehab.

Maltin – who just released Leonard Maltin’s Movie Guide 2009 (Plume) – has watched thousands of movies, and the bad ones leave him seeking good old-fashioned detox.

He says, “If I see a lot of bad movies in a row, I watch an old movie that I’ve never seen to recharge my batteries and cleanse my palette.”

Maltin says a classic western flick is the best rehab after an overdose of bad movies, but admits that a good, cheesy comedy leaves him rejuvenated as well.

Maltin explains, “I’m a honorary member of the Three Stooges fan club. I love those movies.”

If he’s still feeling fatigued from his movie watching marathons, Maltin sits back and relaxes with his favorite guilty pleasure.

He admits, “I love infomercials and QVC. They’re like chewing gum for your eyes. Though I can’t hold my head up high after 30 minutes of watching QVC out of shame.”
