Grammy-Winning Songwriter Slangs Handbags To Celebs

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One Grammy-winning songwriter is in the business of bagging celebrities.

Siedah Garrett – who won a Grammy for her Dreamgirls hit “Love You I Do” – is also a handbag designer to the stars.

Her purses can be found on the arms of stylish celebs like Oprah, Mariah Carey, Vanessa Williams, and, of course, herself.

Garrett – a self-proclaimed “bag whore” – is a walking advertisement for her handbags and owns every single one of her designs in every color, sporting them on a regular basis.

In fact, she’s made some of her biggest sales by donning her unique bags at celeb events.

When Oprah saw Garrett carrying one of her unique crocheted bags at a party she ended up buying two from her, and when Vanessa Williams inquired about her crocheted clutch, she handed it right over to the Ugly Betty star.

Garrett believes starlets love the beauty and roominess of her bags, and may move on to creating a matching shoe line next.

She may also dabble in designing “man bags” so her mentor Quincy Jones can finally wear one of her creations.
