Tears For Fears Frontman Isn’t ‘Shouting’ For Hannah Montana

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Tears for Fears singer Curt Smith is no stranger to the Hannah Montana hype.

Next Tuesday (May 20), Smith is releasing his first solo album, Halfway, Pleased, but the British rocker – best known for the song “Shout” – is listening to a different tune these days at home.

Smith has a six-year-old and an eight-year-old daughter, and while he’s slowed down his touring schedule to spend more time with them, he isn’t exactly pleased with his daughters’ favorite singing superstar, Miley Cyrus.

He says, “I had to sit through a four-hour Hannah Montana taping and then take them to a gig! I’m doubtful I’ll be writing that kind of music, though.”

He adds, “I brought them to a Pussycat Dolls show. That was a little more acceptable, even though there was an inordinate amount of swearing.”

But Smith turns the musical table on his kids when he takes Tears For Fears on tour – he brings his daughters out each night to sing backup vocals on “Shout.”
