‘Survivor’ Runner Up Gets Some Emergency Rest And Relaxation

NORWALK, Conn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Survivor runner-up Cirie Fields is finally getting some rest and relaxation – in the operating room.

This past Sunday (May 11), Fields – who competed in Survivor: Panama – came in third in the season finale of Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites.

Now that she’s home, Fields is finally getting a chance to chill – by heading to the hospital.

Fields is the operating room coordinator at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, and while she admits the O.R. is a tough job, she says, “After I leave I get to go home, eat, and sleep in a real bed.”

Fields credits her emergency room experience with preparing her for the show, saying, “There’s 52 staff members here, and they all have something to complain about. That’s basically what Survivor is.”

And she’s even found some unexpected fans at work.

She says, “There will be patients rolling through with IVs hanging from their arms, and they’ll stop and say hi before going into surgery. It’s pretty sweet.”
