Passover (Apr. 19-27) Has Gone To The Dogs

WHEELING, Ill. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Passover (Apr. 19-27) has gone straight to the dogs.

For the fifth year, Evanger’s Dog and Cat Food Company is catering to kosher canines and kitties by barking up more than 30 kosher varieties of its premium pet food.

According to Evanger’s owner Holly Sher, the company’s kosher concoctions – blessed by a rabbi from the Chicago Rabbinical Council – are more for parents than pooches.

She says, “Dogs don’t care, but people love to feed their dog the kosher food and tell me they have a Jewish dog!”

To keep the passover theme going, stores across the country which stock the kosher food have even taken to throwing Passover pet parties, where dogs can bark blessings at a pet Seder.

Sher adds that dogs don’t have to be Jewish to enjoy the Passover pet food or parties.
