Injured ‘Survivor’ Eliminee Planned To Stick It Out

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Survivor is sticking it to its contestants.

Along with longtime fan Chet Welch being sent home with an infected foot, returning Survivor: Cook Islands favorite Jonathan Penner was removed from Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites this past Thursday (Mar. 13) due to a dangerous knee injury.

Penner was forced by Survivor staff to seek medical attention after a stick punctured his knee and caused a life- threatening infection.

But if it wasn’t for the pain, Penner would have stuck it out.

He says, “I would’ve stayed ’til I passed out!”

Penner’s wound is healed, and now the actor – who starred in The Last Supper, and made guest spots on CSI and Seinfeld, is back to his wild ways.

He says, “Last weekend I broke my toe doing yard work. I’m an idiot!”

The puncture problem did teach Penner one valuable lesson.

He says, “Enjoy each day. You never know where that next stick is going to be.”

Survivor: Micronesia airs Thursdays on CBS.
