Dirt Bags Head Down The Slopes

BIG SKY, Mont. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The powdery white snow at a ski resort in Big Sky, Montana, is about to get a lot dirtier.

The 30th Annual Dirt Bag Day celebration is coming to the Big Sky ski resort this Saturday (Mar. 8), and the grubbiest skiers and snowboarders will shred the slopes and compete to be named dirt bag king and queen.

According to event spokesperson Dax Schieffer, a true dirt bag must hit the slopes everyday, making it their “number one priority over bathing, clothes, and career.”

He adds, “They live in their car, wear gloves with duct tape holding them together, use a beat up jacket and helmet, but use brand new skis, because that’s what matters most.”

The scruffy skiers will compete in various competitions, all while wearing wacky 1970s-inspired ski gear that Schieffer says is “usually in florescent colors with a lot of triangles, and really goofy-looking.”

And Schieffer says dirt bags will do anything to win, including “bribing judges with shots of liquor and T- shirts.”
