So says Mark-Evan Blackman, chairman of the menswear design department at the Fashion Institute of Technology, who believes fashion plays a key role in deciding the countrys next head honcho.
Blackman isnt giving McCain a vote of confidence, because of the Republicans poor fashion sense, including his tight jackets.
He says, I wish he would step it up a bit and wear things that werent so capacious. He has no personal style.
Instead, the fashion expert is giving his bid to Democratic candidate Barack Obama, who he says has a majestic quality to his dressing.
Blackman adds, Obama always has a jacket on and favors pinstripes. I wonder if its because hes so tall and thin? In any case, it goes well with his stature. He has a hapless Jimmy Stewart manner and is very well- groomed.
But a special honorary mention must be given to female candidate Hillary Clinton for her major metamorphosis, with Blackman applauding her for travelling with a make-up artist.
