Fashion Expert Votes For Best Dressed Presidential Candidate

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – John McCain needs to step up his style if he wants to win over the White House.

So says Mark-Evan Blackman, chairman of the menswear design department at the Fashion Institute of Technology, who believes fashion plays a key role in deciding the country’s next head honcho.

Blackman isn’t giving McCain a vote of confidence, because of the Republican’s poor fashion sense, including his tight jackets.

He says, “I wish he would step it up a bit and wear things that weren’t so capacious. He has no personal style.”

Instead, the fashion expert is giving his bid to Democratic candidate Barack Obama, who he says has a “majestic quality to his dressing.”

Blackman adds, “Obama always has a jacket on and favors pinstripes. I wonder if it’s because he’s so tall and thin? In any case, it goes well with his stature. He has a hapless Jimmy Stewart manner and is very well- groomed.”

But a special honorary mention must be given to female candidate Hillary Clinton for her “major metamorphosis,” with Blackman applauding her for “travelling with a make-up artist.”
