‘Oprah’s Big Give’ Makes British Chef Cry

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Oprah Winfrey’s new show Oprah’s Big Give is touching enough to make a grown man cry.

So says renowned British chef Jamie Oliver – also known as The Naked Chef – who’s a celebrity judge on Oprah’s Big Give, a new reality competition that gives 10 average people the chance to become generous philanthropists during a cross-country journey.

Oliver says judging the caring contestants was a difficult task because they were all “good people doing good things” for humanity – and because he couldn’t stop crying during shoots.

Oliver explains, “What these people were doing for others was so touching, I was in tears almost every week during filming. And it’s funny, because I’m a pretty butch fellow. I like to consider myself a tough Brit, but the show got me. It completely broke me! It was very, very moving.”

Besides watching folks help the needy, Oliver’s favorite part of the show is the premise that Oprah is looking for “the next American hero,” a regular person with a big heart who could live right next door.

Oprah’s Big Give premieres March 2 on ABC.
