Valentine’s Day Gets Racy

LONDON, Ontario (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Guys, kicking it into gear this Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) can be done with the help of a racy little book.

Bookbyyou.com is a company that sells personalized romance novels like Pirates of Desire, Click for Love, and E.R. Fever (Book By You Publishing).

After filling out a quick questionnaire with personal details like names, eye colors, and hair colors, you and your lover become the main characters in any of the original books.

The books are all romantic, but company founder Mike Pocock says a surprisingly “racy” book flies off the shelves right around Valentine’s Day.

Pocock says Racing Hearts, a stock car racing romance novel, is popular for Cupid couples who are into burning rubber.

He believes the book sells because the Daytona 500 (Feb. 17) is three days after Valentine’s Day, and while both guys and gals get a kick out of the book, it truly makes men the king of the road.

Pocock explains, “Wives think it’s romantic and unique. They’ll show it off on race day [Daytona 500] and the guy will look like ‘Super Husband’ in front of all their friends because it’s such a thoughtful Valentine’s gift. Plus, every guy wants to picture himself as a racecar driver.”
